Ready Energy Electrical

Terms & Condition

1. Introduction

Welcome to Ready Energy Electrical. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of our website and the electrical services we provide.

In these Terms and Conditions, “Ready Energy Electrical”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating under that name. “You” and “your” refer to any person accessing our website or engaging our services.

By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions to the extent they apply to your use of the website or our services.

If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please discontinue use of the website.

2. Our Services

Ready Energy Electrical provides electrical services as described on our website and in individual quotations, proposals or service agreements.

The scope of each job will depend on the services requested, the condition of the property, site requirements, applicable regulations and the terms agreed with the customer.

We reserve the right to decline a service request where we are unable to perform the work safely, lawfully or within our operational capabilities.

All electrical work will be undertaken subject to applicable Australian laws, relevant electrical safety requirements, applicable standards and licensing requirements.

3. Website Information

We aim to ensure that the information published on our website is accurate and up to date. However, website content is provided for general information purposes and may not always reflect the latest service offerings, prices, availability or technical requirements.

Descriptions, photographs, examples and other website materials are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise in a written quotation or agreement.

You should contact us directly to confirm service availability, pricing, specifications and suitability for your particular requirements.

4. Quotations and Estimates

Any quotation or estimate we provide will be subject to the scope of work, assumptions, exclusions and validity period specified in the relevant quotation.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • A quotation is based on the information available when it is prepared.
  • Additional work or materials not included in the original scope may incur additional charges.
  • Hidden defects, inaccessible wiring, unexpected site conditions or changes requested by the customer may affect the final price.
  • Any variation to the agreed scope should be communicated to the customer and approved before the additional work proceeds, except where emergency action is reasonably necessary and legally permitted.

A quotation does not constitute a binding commitment to undertake work until accepted in accordance with its stated terms and any required agreement has been completed.

5. Bookings and Appointments

Appointments are subject to availability and confirmation by Ready Energy Electrical.

Customers should provide accurate contact details, site addresses and information relevant to the requested work.

You must provide reasonable access to the property and ensure that the work area is accessible and safe.

If an appointment needs to be changed or cancelled, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible. Any applicable cancellation fees or call-out charges will be communicated in advance and will be subject to applicable Australian Consumer Law and other relevant legislation.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of delays, rescheduling or circumstances affecting an appointment.

6. Customer Responsibilities

When engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the requested work.
  • Ensure that you are authorised to request work at the relevant property.
  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the work area.
  • Inform us of known hazards, access restrictions or relevant site conditions.
  • Obtain any property-owner, landlord, body corporate or other approvals that are your responsibility.
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions provided by our personnel.
  • Pay agreed fees in accordance with the applicable quotation, invoice or service agreement.

We may suspend or postpone work if the site is unsafe, access is unavailable or necessary information or approvals have not been provided.

7. Pricing and Payment

The prices, payment terms and applicable charges for our services will be set out in the relevant quotation, invoice or service agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.

Additional charges may apply for approved variations, additional materials, unforeseen work or other services outside the original scope.

Any deposits, progress payments, cancellation fees or late-payment charges will be subject to the terms agreed with the customer and applicable law.

We will not seek to exclude or limit any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law in relation to pricing, payment or the supply of services.

8. Variations and Additional Work

If the scope of work changes after a quotation has been accepted, we may need to revise the price, materials, schedule or other agreed terms.

Where reasonably practicable, we will explain the proposed variation and obtain your approval before carrying out additional work.

Any approved variation will form part of the agreement for the relevant services.

9. Electrical Safety and Compliance

All electrical work must be carried out in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, electrical safety regulations and relevant technical standards.

Customers must not interfere with electrical installations or equipment in a manner that creates a safety risk or compromises compliance.

Where required by applicable law, we will arrange or provide relevant certificates, inspection documentation or other compliance records for work we undertake.

The precise requirements may vary according to the type of work and the Australian state or territory in which the services are provided.

10. Warranties and Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, where applicable.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Where permitted by law, manufacturer warranties may apply to products, equipment or materials supplied as part of our services. The terms of any such warranty will depend on the relevant manufacturer and product.

Any additional workmanship warranty offered by Ready Energy Electrical will be subject to the terms expressly provided in the relevant quotation, invoice or written warranty documentation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for loss or damage arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control, including delays caused by severe weather, supply shortages, third-party actions or unexpected site conditions.

We are not responsible for problems caused by pre-existing defects, unauthorised alterations, misuse, failure to follow reasonable instructions or work performed by other contractors, except to the extent that applicable law provides otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability for negligence, personal injury, property damage, breach of contract or any other matter where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful.

Where Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law provides mandatory rights or remedies, those rights and remedies remain unaffected.

12. Cancellations and Suspension of Services

If you wish to cancel or reschedule a booking, please contact us as early as possible.

Any cancellation charges must be reasonable, disclosed where required and consistent with applicable law and the terms agreed for the relevant service.

We may postpone, suspend or refuse to proceed with work where:

  • The work area presents a safety risk.
  • Required access or approvals are unavailable.
  • The customer has materially breached an agreed term.
  • Continuing the work would breach applicable laws or safety requirements.
  • Circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from safely providing the service.

Where appropriate, we will discuss the next steps with the customer.

13. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on our website, including text, graphics, branding, photographs, logos and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Ready Energy Electrical.

You may view and use website content for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish or commercially exploit website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

14. Website Use and Security

You must not use our website in a manner that is unlawful, fraudulent or likely to interfere with its operation or security.

You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers, systems or information, or introduce malicious software or harmful code.

We may take reasonable steps to protect the website, investigate misuse and restrict access where necessary.

15. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or services for convenience or informational purposes.

We do not control those third-party websites and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.

Accessing third-party websites is at your own discretion, and you should review their applicable terms and policies.

16. Privacy

We collect, use and handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Australian privacy laws.

For further information about how we handle personal information, please review our Privacy Policy on our website.

17. Force Majeure

We will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform obligations to the extent caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, emergencies, major supply disruptions or widespread utility outages.

We will make reasonable efforts to notify affected customers and resume services when it is safe and reasonably practicable to do so.

This clause does not remove any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, website or legal obligations.

The updated version will be published on our website with a revised effective date.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions will not retrospectively alter an existing agreement where doing so would be inconsistent with that agreement or applicable law.

The terms applicable to a particular service will be determined by the agreement, quotation or other applicable terms governing that service.

19. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the Australian state or territory in which the relevant services are supplied, together with applicable Commonwealth laws.

Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts or tribunals having jurisdiction under the applicable laws, subject to any mandatory consumer rights or dispute-resolution requirements.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
